This policy explains how Saylia LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("Saylia," "we"), handles your information when you use saylia.ai. The short version: your data is used to run and personalize Saylia — we do not sell it, we do not use it for third-party advertising, and we do not train AI models on it. Questions or requests: support@saylia.ai.
To generate persona and character responses, your messages are processed by our AI providers: Anthropic, and models accessed through OpenRouter, which serves them via its hosting providers. Character voices are synthesized and voice input is transcribed by ElevenLabs, with OpenAI as an automatic fallback transcription provider. Research personas send your search queries to a web-data provider (HasData) to retrieve live results. These providers process your content to provide the feature and, under the service agreements and data-policy controls we use, do not use your content to train their models. Saylia does not train AI models on your content either.
We use a small set of providers to run Saylia. Each processes data only as needed for its function:
Some features — People Finder, Home Finder, Job Hunter, and similar research personas — retrieve publicly available information about other people at your request, through our web-data provider (HasData). That information becomes part of your conversation and is retained the same way the rest of your chat history is (see Section 8). If you are the subject of a search you didn't initiate and want to know what we hold or ask us to remove it from a user's conversation, contact us at support@saylia.ai — we will review the request and act on it consistent with our obligations to the account holder whose conversation it is. We do not independently verify the accuracy of information from these sources; see also the Usage Policy's rules against using research tools to stalk, monitor, or build profiles of individuals.
We keep your data while your account is active. Conversations stay until you delete them; memories stay until you delete them or turn memory off; usage records, logs, and analytics are kept for limited periods needed for billing, security, and debugging. When your account is deleted, we delete or de-identify your personal data, with residual copies purged from backups over time. We may retain what is necessary to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Built into the app:
By email, wherever you live: you can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and data by writing to support@saylia.ai from your account email. We respond within 30 days. California residents may exercise their rights to know, delete, and correct under the CCPA the same way; we do not sell or "share" personal information as the CCPA defines those terms, and we will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Users in the EEA, UK, and other regions with data-protection laws can use the same address for their local rights.
Saylia is operated from the United States, and your data is processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. By using Saylia, you understand your data will be transferred to and processed in the US.
Saylia is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us at support@saylia.ai and we will delete it.
We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, database-level access rules that scope your data to your account, and strict internal access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.
We may update this policy as Saylia evolves. The date at the top reflects the latest version, and we will notify you of material changes. See also the Terms of Service and Usage Policy.
