Saylia is operated by Saylia LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("Saylia," "we," "us"). By accessing or using saylia.ai or any Saylia feature (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service, our Usage Policy, and our Privacy Policy, which are part of this agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Saylia lets you chat with AI personas (including simulations of real, historical, and fictional figures and personas created by other users), use AI research assistants that retrieve live web data, listen to AI-produced book podcasts, play interactive story games, watch and judge AI debates, create your own personas, and read our blog. All persona conversations, game scenes, debates, and podcast content are generated by AI.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Saylia. If you are between 13 and 17, you may use Saylia only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to purchase a paid subscription. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
You can sign in with Google, Apple, or a one-time code sent to your email. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in email secure. Some features can be previewed without an account through a temporary anonymous session; if you later sign up, activity from that session (such as podcast listens and likes) may be linked to your account.
Persona responses are AI simulations. They are not statements, opinions, or endorsements from the real person, their estate, employer, publisher, or any affiliated group, and no such party sponsors or is associated with Saylia unless we expressly say so. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated even when it sounds confident. Verify anything important before relying on it.
Saylia does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice, and no professional–client relationship is created by using it. A persona's subject matter (for example, a doctor or detective character) describes a theme, not a qualification. Do not rely on the Service for decisions that require a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, see the resources in our Usage Policy.
You keep ownership of the messages and other content you submit, and, as between you and Saylia, you own the AI responses generated in your conversations, subject to these Terms and to any third-party rights. Similar or identical output may be generated for other users. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display your content as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service. Content you choose to share through share links or share cards can be viewed by anyone with the link. If you send us feedback, we may use it without restriction or compensation.
You are responsible for personas you create or remix, including their name, description, and behavior. You keep your rights in the material you add; you grant us the license in Section 7 to host and operate them, including letting other users chat with personas you share. We may review, restrict, or remove any created persona that violates the Usage Policy or creates risk for us or others. Personas created by other users are their responsibility, not ours, and we do not endorse them.
The Service — including its software, design, brand, persona lineup, book podcast episodes and audio, game worlds, and other content we provide — belongs to Saylia or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, scrape, bulk-download, resell, or redistribute the Service or its content, or reverse engineer any part of it, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
The Usage Policy is part of these Terms and lists what you may not do — including harassment, impersonation intended to deceive, sexual content involving minors, illegal activity, privacy violations, and attacks on the Service itself. Violations can lead to rate limiting, content removal, suspension, or termination.
Research personas such as People Finder and Price Searcher retrieve publicly available information from the web through third-party data services. Results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and prices or availability may have changed. Saylia is not a consumer reporting agency, and results are not consumer reports. You may not use the Service to decide anyone's eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, housing, or any similar purpose, or to stalk, harass, or monitor any person. You are responsible for using retrieved information lawfully.
You may stop using Saylia at any time and may request deletion of your account and data by emailing support@saylia.ai. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or the Usage Policy, create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 7, 9, and 14–18) survive termination.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SAYLIA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SAYLIA WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE — INCLUDING RELIANCE ON AI OUTPUT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold Saylia and its members, officers, and agents harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or the law, or your violation of anyone else's rights.
Saylia evolves quickly; features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued at any time. We may update these Terms, and if a change is material we will give notice — for example by updating the date at the top of this page, posting a notice in the Service, or emailing you. Continuing to use Saylia after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us at support@saylia.ai and give us 30 days to try to resolve the dispute informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction — except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court.
If you believe content on Saylia infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@saylia.ai that includes: identification of the copyrighted work and of the infringing material (with its URL), your contact information, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act for the copyright owner, and your physical or electronic signature. We respond to valid notices, and we terminate repeat infringers' accounts.
